Natural Agriculture Wine Estate Slavček Records of the farm as far back as the year 1769 at that time the farm was named the Slavčevih (Nightingale), as testified by the church records. From here is the origin of the brand whose symbol is a bird. Over time, from generation to generation were produced wines which are famous for their high quality and have been appreciated in the world.
Today's task is to raise the quality land of what we grow as we demonstrate wine recognition. |
The wine region of Vipava Valley or Vipava has a protected geographical origin.
The vineyards are in the heart of the Vipava Valley, surrounded by the karst plateau on the south side, and the Alpine hills on the north. From the eastern side, the altitude drops in the direction of the Mediterranean, which creates favorable conditions for the warm sea breeze. Terraced vineyards are planted on the tops of marly hills at an altitude of up to 200 m. The marlstone land gives a typical high minerality. The heat and sun during the vegetation period have a strong influence on the favorable ripening of the grapes, which gives the wines fullness of color shades and rounded flavors.
The terraced vineyards are on steep slopes, the banks are planted with cherries, olives and many herbal plants, which prevent erosion, and at the same time this is good for the biodiversity in the vineyard.
The vineyards are surrounded by leafy forests from which you can hear the wonderful singing of birds. The vines are always pampered by the pleasant Mediterranean wind, which pleasantly dries the air.

Philosiphies, Ideas & Practices
|
The vineyards are planted in areas where the natural conditions of the microclimate enable the production of grapes in an environmentally friendly manner, and biodynamic forces are taken into account and respected. There is a lot of manual and time-consuming work, which takes us a lot of time to do the work. The grapes are hand-harvested and selective. The best Slavče wines are matured in oak and acacia barrels, which grow on the edge of the vineyard. We can thank the generations before us for keeping these trees on the land for 300 years.

Winemaking |
The wine is produced according to the traditional process. Fermentation always begins with grape berries, for a shorter period also with white and fruit wines. This technological process strongly emphasizes the unique growing area of the vineyard. This gives the wines richer color shades and flavors. We want to achieve the goal of tasting the characteristic varietal flower of each grape variety in the wine. Only a small amount of sulfur is added to the wine before bottling. Any oenological additives are not considered. This gives the wines additional originality and naturalness.

Wines, Tastes
|
We renovated the tasting rooms in 2005 and dedicated them to our vineyards and wines. The winery itself is located under the terraced vineyards. Here you will be able to get to know Vipava culture and identity. Our wine shop can be a starting point for cycling tours to discover the natural, historical and cultural beauty of the Vipava Valley. The premises are suitable for thematic exhibitions and meetings will be an opportunity to spend time pleasantly.
During the tasting, we can serve selected cured meat products, home-baked bread, and traditional cheese from local producers. Which gives a unique taste of the region when tasting our wines. Dishes prepared in our kitchen with seasonal ingredients from our own production, as the culture of "good eating" grows in true taste and authenticity. With simplicity. |
